Make It Monday #300 Build a Wreath

I am playing along with the Make It Monday Challenge Build a Wreath today. I loved Melissa's video and her gorgeous examples.  Here is my card.

I didn't have the gorgeous wreath Melissa used, but I am going to buy it as soon as it's back in stock.  I did, however, have the gorgeous set called Sprig Wreath.  First, I started with the background.  I used a lattice stencil from the Garden Gate kit and sponged with Spring Rain ink.  I stamped the wreath pieces using the rock and roll method and New Leaf and Pinefeather inks.  I added some leaves from the Spruce & Sprigs set and some smaller greenery and pinecones from the Sprig Wreath set.  To top it off, I added a Cardinal from the Winter Woods set.

Garden Gate Birthday

I had my epidural yesterday and didn't do much but rest.  This morning I was feeling better and was able to play in my craft room.  My mom's birthday is coming up in November and I wanted to get her card made early.  Here it is:

I used the Garden Gate kit from PTI.  For the base I decided to use one of the pre-printed panels.  I wanted the pretty side on the inside of the card.  The panel is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.  I scored it at 2 1/8 inches from both of the short sides to make a gate fold card.  The panel, as you can see by the bottom picture, has a creamy yellow base with a white lattice print and the purple wisteria.  On the front panel I sponged with Summer Sunrise ink.  I cut the garden gate out of white card stock.  I made a stencil with the lattice insert dies and sponged with Summer Sunrise ink.  I used the pre-printed wisteria over the garden sign and stamped the hollyhocks with Pale Peony, Summer Sunrise and Bright Buttercup ink from PTI.  I used GKD Jelly Bean Green ink for the leaves.  I punched two little holes in the gate and added a piece of twine to close.

Merry Christmas/Just Because

The two cards I'm posting are both a CASE of Betsy Veldman's genius.  I've been down for about 10 days now with a pinched nerve in my back.  So much pain and I am really tired of it.  I'm getting an epidural Monday with hopes that it will eliminate the pain.

The first one is from PTI's new Wonderland kit.  I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.

The second one is from PTI's Market Street kit.  I love the flower cart and those sweet pumpkins.

Live & Love Abundantly

I've been playing with two of PTI's stamp sets, Vegetable Garden & Kind of Corny.

I created the background by using all of the word stamps and various colors of ink.  I love the way it turned out. I may have added too many vegetables, but just loved all of them.  lol

Sending You Warm Wishes

It's that time of year when I am thinking about Christmas cards.  A little while ago, I made three kits with everything I needed to assemble ten each of three different cards. This is the second kit.

I used Dap Lightweight Spackle and a Falling Snow Stencil on blue card stock to create the background.  The snow is a die from Simon Says Stamps called Stitched Slopes & Hills.  The birch trees are from MFT, and the deer and green tree are from a set called Deer Friends, also, from MFT.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's that time of year when Christmas cards are on my mind.  About a month ago, I made three kits containing everything I needed to make ten each of three different cards. Here is the first one.

I started with the background.  I used the Super Gingham Stamp and black ink on red card stock.  The white card stock is layered with a gold piece of card stock  I stamped with the Holiday Greens Borders stamp.  I added the Sentiment Label Strip in gold and embossed the sentiment in black.  The pinecone, holly and flower is popped up for a little dimension.

Birthday Wishes for You/ Merry Christmas

I have been playing with some of Melanie Muenchinger's frame stamp sets available through Gina K. Designs.

This really is a quick and easy way to make a pretty card.  I love this frame!

GKD Fabulous Rose Frame

This is a fun take on a front door and wreath.  These will be very easy to mail, although, I did pop up the bow.
